This month’s Museum After Hours program on Wednesday, August 13, features the first special exhibit to open in the museum’s newly renovated gallery this November. Celebrating KANSAS! highlights the 80-year history of the KANSAS! magazine, published by Kansas Tourism. Andrea Etzel, Publications Manager & Editor, will present a brief history of the magazine and how she developed content for the exhibit. Anne Dorcey, Exhibits Designer, will share information about the design and fabrication of the exhibit.Register for in-person event: https://bit.ly/40JDssK
Guests will have the opportunity for a sneak peek of the new special exhibit before it officially opens later this fall. Tickets for the behind the scenes tour can be purchased for $5 upon arrival. Tours will start at 5:40 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
