Murphy's Taproom Comedy: Dennis Fogg

Scamps Comedy presents different lineups of great professional comedians every Saturday in the back pub at Murphy's Taproom, 494 Elm Street, Manchester NH.

For a comedian from Portland, Maine, Dennis Fogg gets on national television quite a bit, including Fox’s You Bet Your Life with Jay Leno. “It was great,” Fogg says. “They flew me to Burbank, I was on stage with Jay Leno, and hung out with (producer) Mark Summers. Then all of my neighbors got to see me on Fox.” Viewers were introduced to Fogg on another show that Summers produced, when the diner he owned received a makeover – and Fogg the requisite tongue-lashing from host Robert Irvine – on the Food Network’s Restaurant: Impossible. That’s fine with Fogg – the exposure increased traffic to his place, and at least Irvine didn’t criticize his comedy. “At one point, they had a film crew at a show and I thought they might give me grief, but I was killing and Irvine told me I was doing too well to interrupt,” Fogg explained. Later this year, he’s scheduled to join Michael Strahan on The $100,000 Pyramid.
