Original documents tell of a drunken encounter between Frederick County civilians and New Hampshire soldiers that resulted in tragedy. While perusing the Internet, Dana Shoaf opened up a listing for original documents, and testimonials given by civilians who had witnessed their friend shot dead by a New Hampshire soldier. Through research in other sources, Shoaf was able to reconstruct the incident and also embarked on a quest to find the victim’s forgotten grave.
