Munster's 31st Annual National Night Out Celebration

The Munster Police Department and Choice Community Council invite and encourage all residents to participate in Munster's 31st Annual National Night Out Celebration on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:00pm to 8:30pm at and in the area of the Munster Community Pool (8837 Calumet Avenue). This annual, award-winning event is held to promote positive police and community partnerships through a variety of both fun and educational activities for all ages. Last year's event in Munster was ranked by the National Association of Town Watch as the #1 National Night Out event in the United States by population category thanks to great support from our community.
The event, which will immediately follow the nearby National Night Out Community Parade (that runs from 4:30pm-4:50pm through Community Park), will begin with a performance of the National Anthem at 5:00pm and will include free swimming for Munster residents (with state ID please), kids games and prizes, over 130 booth participants, emergency vehicle displays, costumed characters, K-9 demonstrations, The John Measner Magic Show, food trucks, music, giveaways, meeting first responders and veterans, Citizenship Award presentations, safety information, student performances, and an awesome closing FIREWORKS SHOW sponsored by Krazy Kaplan's Fireworks.
All residents and businesses are encouraged to display blue lights from July 29th through August 4th to show their support for our National Night Out efforts in town.
