Multicultural Movie Matinee

14 year-old Chakra is sold as a slave labourer to the captain of a Thai fishing vessel. The captain’s rule on board is cruel and arbitrary.

An innocent Cambodian boy is sold to a Thai broker and enslaved on a fishing trawler. As fellow slaves are tortured and killed around him, he starts to wonder if his only hope of freedom is to become as violent as his captors.

Saturday morning run around done and dusted. Join us at the Dudley Denny City Library for a cup of tea/coffee while you relax and enjoy a movie and discover the many global studies, diversity studies and lifestyle titles on Libraries’ Beamafilm platform.
