About this Event
The Salvation Army established themselves in Mudgee in late 1885, taking over the old wools store building belonging to Crossing and Cox. They soon grew in members, and in late 1888, tenders were called for new barracks to be built on a block they had acquired, adjacent to the old wool store. The foundation stone of the Citadel was laid in February, 1889. The contractors for the project were Collier and Cassimer, who had completed the building in May, 1889. Hundreds of people attended the official opening, held later that month. After 128 years of active service in the community, the Mudgee Corps held its final meeting on Sunday, 17 March 2013 until....history is written and...
...the doors are officially reopened by Mission Leader Steve Medved 19th October, 2025. Holy Spirit led and with a call for discipleship Bathurst, Lithgow and Mudgee corps are now reopened for God's mission in the Central West.
Join us for an encouraging time of praising God through song, prayer and Bible led teaching and grow in your discipleship journey at one of our midweek groups.
