Ditch the traditional Mother's Day brunch and come learn the potters wheel while sipping "mamaritas"! We will have the mixers and ice, just BYOT (bring your own tequila)! Or, grab one of El Patio's signature margaritas (across the street) before heading over! All pieces made in class will need 3 weeks to dry and be kiln-fired. Once fired, return to the studio to glaze them yourself during walk-in hours for no additional fee.Minimum age is 21 years. Tickets are nonrefundable.
During the class, the instructor will go over the basics, give you a short demonstration, and answer any questions, as well as come around and offer assistance or suggestions. You will get choose 2 of your pieces to keep!
Important Details:
-Wheel throwing is a bit messy (it IS mud!), so we highly recommend not wearing anything you wouldn’t want to get clay on and bringing a hand towel to class. Be ready to get a lil’ messy. Aprons will be provided.
-Long hair must be tied back and hand jewelry must be removed. No heels, please!
-Space is limited, only 6 students per session.
-All pottery not picked up within 60 days will be subjected to donation.
