This will qualify for the OTP Advanced and the Bay Area 6 Peaks challenges!This is a HARD 16 + miles with over 2500 in elevation gain. I have done this exact hike before and it is a good climb. The trails are mostly fire roads with the final 4 mile push to the top a gradual hike.
We will meet up at the Sierra Azul Parking Lot At Jacques Ridge, Almaden, parking lot and start off at 745am sharp. Don't be late we will not wait.
Dress for the weather, bring plenty of water, and pack a good lunch.

I will have a Zoom meeting on Thursday 1/22 from 7pm-7:15pm for those of you who are interested in going. This is not a mandatory meeting, just a meet and greet to go over the plan and answer any questions. It will not last more than 15 minutes. To get an invite please message me or just mark as going.
Full disclosure I am NOT a professional guide or leader. Please consider your ability, skill, and endurance no matter how good you think you are. Fatigue, dehydration, etc. can happen to anyone. EVERY hiker is responsible for THEIR own safety, directions, and pace they hike. EVERY hiker is responsible for themselves for everything that happens to them on the trail. This is a self paced hike. We don't always stay together and are not obligated to. I create hikes on All Trails or take preset routes and invite everyone to join me. We laugh, make fun of ourselves, take lots of pictures, and have a good time. This is your hike to enjoy!
I always start on time. I have an OCD complex about starting on time. I do not wait, sorry. I blame my father for this. You can ask me about it on the trail.
