Ever wondered how a writer brings stories to life? Get ready to find out! The Midnight Sun Visiting Writers Series presents a free, public craft talk with renowned author Lily H. Tuzroyluke, creator of Sivulliq: Ancestor. Lily will share insights into her creative process, her journey as an Indigenous writer, and how she uses her craft to weave together history, resilience, and community.

🌟 Public Reading & Q&A: 7 pm - 8:30 pm — Lily H. Tuzroyluke will share selections from Sivulliq: Ancestor and answer audience questions, allowing you to connect directly with her experiences and perspectives on the novel’s powerful themes.
About the AuthorLily H. Tuzroyluke, author of Sivulliq: Ancestor, is Inupiaq, Tlingit, and Nisga’a. An advocate for Tribal Sovereignty and subsistence lifeways, Lily brings a powerful Indigenous perspective to her storytelling. She lives in Anchorage, Alaska, with her children and her cairn terrier. She is a UAF graduate student with a passion for uncovering the untold stories of Alaska's Indigenous history, and her next novel will address the experiences of Indigenous Residential Schools in the 1950s.
