Registration
At the top of this page is a button for "tickets" that you can select. Fill out each ticket as completely as possible - depending on your involvement at the reunion. Each ticket is for a specific function or payment. Please make sure you look at each ticket for the item you wish to receive and/or participate in. If you are coming to the reunion, both annual dues and registration are required . You must be registered through this site on or before August 29th to be able to march the halftime drill at the game! Late registrants will only be able to enter the field to stand and play for the last halftime number.
New Graduates: If you have graduated since last year's Fall Reunion, you can use the promo code Grad2526 to get $25 off at check-out - aka free dues for your 1st year! This can only be used once per person, and we will be checking your graduation year to verify the purchase.
There are a number of questions with required responses. This is to make sure you are charted correctly for the game, and to make sure we have the proper contact information. Please make sure your email is current, and that you can receive attachments!
We prefer that you pay by credit card, but you also have the option to send in a check (see "other payment options" below the credit card choices). Eventbrite will generate an electronic ticket for you. There is no need to bring this with you to the reunion.
Instruments
Please make arrangements to borrow an instrument if you do not have one or cannot travel with your instrument. Only a select quantity of instruments are available through the Spartan Marching Band, and there is a nominal rental fee for the use of it.
Due to the limited quantity available, instruments will be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis with preference given to players who have graduated within the past 5 years (December 2021 thru present). Players wishing to borrow an instrument that have not graduated within the past 5 years should select the "Rent An Instrument" add-on at check-out and select the "Waitlist" option for their instrument in the order form. Any remaining instruments available after Aug. 29th will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis to players on the waitlist. If there are no more instruments available after Aug. 29th then the $10 rental fee will be refunded.
We highly recommend reviewing this year's contract here:
Notes:
- Available instruments include Eb trumpets, baritones, mellophones, and tubas.
- Instruments will ONLY be available on Saturday, Sept. 12th this year. Instruments will not be available for Friday's music rehearsal.
- Percussionists, Big Ten Flags, and Color Guard should check with their point-person or contact regarding equipment - you DO NOT have to select the instrument ticket. You will be able to pick up equipment from the respective section rooms.
Uniform
The required uniform for all performances on Satuday is the official MSU Alumni Band t-shirt (pictured below) with black bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts, kilts, leggings, etc.). More detailed information can be found here:
If you do not already own the official t-shirt, there are several t-shirt options available to purchase during check-out in the add-ons section. The 100% cotton, SportTek, short sleeve, and long sleeve versions are all acceptable for our uniform.
Homecoming Parade
For this year and moving forward, the Homecoming Parade sign-up will NOT be available during the Fall Reunion registration, and will ONLY be available through the Email Blast and GroupSpot announcements. More information regarding this year's Homecoming Parade can be found here:
Donations
Spartans Will has always meant answering the call to support one another, and now we have an opportunity to create a legacy that will benefit Spartan musicians for generations to come. The MSU Alumni Band is proud to establish the MSU Alumni Band Endowment Fund, a permanent scholarship fund that will provide lasting support for College of Music students and members of the Spartan Marching Band.
By investing in an endowed fund, every gift becomes part of a legacy that continues to grow, helping provide more scholarships and greater opportunities for future Spartans year after year. Our goal is to reach the $50,000 minimum required by July 2031, but together we can build a fund that grows far beyond that milestone and strengthens the future of the band program for decades to come.
We invite every member of the Alumni Band family to be part of this exciting new chapter by making a gift to the MSU Alumni Band Endowment Fund (use code AE065920) at https://give.msu.edu/?sid=21145 or by adding a contribution during check-out through Eventbrite.
Together, we can ensure that the traditions, excellence, and lifelong friendships forged through Spartan Bands continue to inspire future generations. Spartans Will.
Please note that the following scholarship funds that were previously listed in Eventbrite will not be shown this year since the main focus is on the MSU Alumni Band Endowment Fund. Donations can still be made to these funds at https://give.msu.edu using their codes:
- The John Whitwell Band Scholarship Fund (AE06072) - awarded annually each spring to a student in honor of director emeritus John Whitwell.
- The Ken Bloomquist Scholarship Fund (AE069) - awarded annually each spring to a student in honor of director emeritus Ken Bloomquist.
- The Leonard Falcone Endowed Music Scholarship Fund (AE0603) - provides a scholarship for full time undergraduate and graduate music majors. Awardees are selected by the Director of Bands.
- The Augie Thoma Scholarship Fund (AE06056) - awarded annually each spring to a student in honor of August (Augie) Thoma.
- MSU Bands (AE0601) - Donations to this fund help secure guest artists, conductors, and composers; travel for the Wind Ensemble to peer-reviewed regional and national conferences; funds to commission new works and to subsidize recording opportunities for the Wind Ensemble; and special scholarships for students to participate in University Bands.
All of the contributions are tax-deductible! Your printed ticket can serve as your receipt for tax purposes. If you would like a receipt directly from the MSU Alumni Band, or if your gift is over $250.00 (the IRS requires a receipt), please contact us and we'll send it to you.
Thank you!
Please support our corporate sponsors! These vendors are supplying gifts and services for our reunion - we appreciate all they do in the area and for the MSU Alumni Band.
