The Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Lehighton, Pennsylvania presents the return of our MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 Ultimate Fan Event, with MST3K hosts Johan Ray and Emily Marsh in person for a two-night MST3K fan celebration September 11th-12th!
Fans can thrill to MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER episodes personally selected by the MST3K team on the giant outdoor screen, a special 35mm feature each night, LIVE riffing with Matt McGinnis, Jonah and Emily, and more fun!
We’ll also be joined by Harold Bucholz, MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 Executive Producer and Writer, Writer on the MST3k Comic book, and creator of the SWEETEST BEASTS book series! Harold will be selling and signing his books and MST3K Season 12 DVDs/Blu-Rays and joining in the fun all weekend!
Jonah, Emily, Matt, and Harold will meet fans in a special VIP Q+A photo op before the show, and available for General Admission ticket holders before and between the films once the gate opens. Also, they will introduce the movies and judge a costume contest where YOU can dress up as your favorite MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER character, or character from a film riffed on the show!
Friday night launches us into the cosmos with Matt McGinnis’ Movie Riffing Melee, featuring Jonah and Emily, verbally tapdancing all over the film J.R. shot, BEWARE! THE BLOB (1972)! Then, it’s time to join Jonah on the Satellite Of Love for the best Season 11 MST3K episode featuring a boy and his subservient Sasquatch, CRY WILDERNESS (1987), hosted by Jonah and the bots! We end the evening with a special 35mm screening of the classic MST3K Season 7 favorite, LASERBLAST (1978), in which a 70s California dude finds a discarded alien laser, and commences blasting! With Rainbeaux Smith and Eddie Deezen!
Saturday kicks off with a super-secret title you won’t believe, getting the live improv riff treatment by our trio of riffmaster generals, Jonah, Emily, and Matt! Then it’s back to interstellar experimentation as Emily is forced to endure the strange physicianship of DOCTOR MORDRID in a favorite MST3K episode from deep in Season 13! The evening wraps up with a 35mm presentation of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000: THE MOVIE (1996), in which Mike and the bots take on the Sci-Fi classic THIS ISLAND EARTH!
Arrive early to hobnob with Jonah, Emily, Matt and Harold, alongside fellow MSTies from far and wide as we celebrate the one weekend of the season that it’s okay someone is talking through all the movies!
