MSI DOJO OSOJIWHAT: MSI / Mugenkan New Year Great Dojo Cleansing. The most important day of the martial year!
WHEN: Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 - Starts promptly at 10:00 AM EST - BE EARLY!
Formal presentations will begin promptly at 12pm.

WHO: All MSI, Sei Shin Kan, Mugenkan, Shinbukan, Iaido, Karate, Jujutsu, Aikido, Kobudo, Goshin Jutsu students, past students, and guests.
EVENTS: Rare Yagyu Shingan Ryu ritual cleansing & purification ceremony performed with a sword. Various demonstrations will be given by staff and student members. Achievement awards will be presented. Traditional New Year food and beverages will be available. During the ceremony, all students are required to wear all white uniforms, belts, and undergarments. A group photo will be taken and made available to all participants. See the linked document HERE for details.
BRING: cleaning rags, vacuums, paper towels, and any other cleaning supplies you like. Do not bring anything that is highly toxic or dangerous to use.
WEAR: Clean, comfortable training clothing of any kind for the general cleaning, and ONLY ALL WHITE UNIFORM, BELT, AND UNDERGARMENTS for the ceremony.
It is customary for participants and supporters to make a modest monetary contribution in a plain white envelope before the conclusion of Osoji.
