MSHSL MN Head Coaches Course - Online

• Those individuals, who wish to serve as a head coach in a Minnesota public high school and do not meet the requirements of MS122A.33, must complete the MNHCC (MN Head Coach Certification) to meet the MN Statute requirements. Coaches will receive education in a blended approach including seven hours of online instruction (via Zoom) with MSHSL Coaches Ed. faculty and several on-line requirements.
• Upon completion of the course, coaches will complete the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching online course and the USCAH Health, Safety and Wellness course - the cost of these courses is included in your registration fee and access to them will be distributed after your class. Additionally, all coaches must completed the Continuing Education Requirement modules and Annual Rules Modules on the MSHSL Coaches Dashboard - these are free of charge and can be completed when they become available. Those who successfully complete both the seven-hour Zoom course and the online components (a total of 60 clock hours) will meet the requirements of MN Statute 122A.33 and be eligible to be a head coach in MN.

• You will receive an email from us one - two days prior to the class with the Zoom link for your course.
• For the effectiveness of our virtual classroom, we require all participants to have their cameras on during the entire course. This ensures a more engaging and interactive learning experience. Additionally, visible presence encourages accountability and active participation, ensuring participants meet the requirements of the MN State Statute Requirement for Head Coach Licensure.
