Join us for the 9th African Fundraising Evening in Aid of MSF (Medecins Sans Frontieres), taking place at The Narthex, St. John The Baptist Cathedral, Unthank Road, Norwich on Saturday 22nd February 2025 from 18:00 till late.
This incredible family friendly event aims to raise funds and awareness for MSF’s life-saving work across Africa and Middle East. The evening will be packed with world class entertainment, colourful stalls and a Tombola, where you have a chance to win one of many amazing prizes on offer.
MSF is an international humanitarian organisation providing medical care in more than 70 countries. MSF medical teams treat people caught in complex crises and chronic healthcare emergencies around the world. Over the past eight years the Norfolk Friends of MSF fundraising team have helped Raise over £25,000 for the NGO, but we are not stopping there!
Come and enjoy an unforgettable and joyful evening filled with African culture, music, and delicious cuisine. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere, as we celebrate the rich diversity of the African diaspora here in Norwich and raise funds for this amazing NGO.
Delicious West African food from African Kitchen will be served from 6pm onwards to ensure your energy is topped up for the evening. A wide selection of beverages will be available the quench your thirst from our fully licensed bar.
Our entertainment programme starts from 6.30, where you can join Cuba’s Jose Ferrera for a fun and enjoyable dance workshop leaning the steps and moves of Afro-Cuban dance. Live music entertainment starts with the soaring and beautiful voice and guitar of Senegalese artist Abdoulaye Samb. Our main headliners are the electrifying 7 piece Congolese dance band Soukous Vibration – guaranteed to get everyone up dancing! DJ Michael will be keeping the music flowing spinning Afrobeat, Highlife and Latin mixes throughout the evening.
Across the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about MSF’s impactful projects in Africa and across the world and how your support can make a difference. A special guest speaker will join us to talk and make a presentation about the vital work MSF undertake.
By attending this event, you’ll contribute directly to MSF’s efforts in Africa and the wider region, ensuring that vulnerable communities and those affected by conflict receive the medical assistance they desperately require. Your presence will make a significant impact on the lives of countless individuals!

Advance tickets are just £16 adults and £10 Students and 11-16yr olds. Under 11s are free but you will still need to order a ticket. Limited tickets are available on the door at £18/£12.
