Jackie Goforth wants books and videos removed from the adult section. The committee is not required to read or watch the titles before making a recommendation. One committee member has stated she wanted to burn a book. Most recommendations are for removal of the book/video from the public libraries. The final decision is made by Jillian Morrissey, MSB Community Development Director.
Check the schedule before planning to attend. The committee has only met 5 out of the last 11 months due to a lack of quorum.
Public comment is encouraged. You may attend online or call in to the meeting. Please share your concerns about censoring and your support for libraries.
