About this Event

METRO PARKS DISABILITIES INDOOR KAYAKING

Come learn kayaking in the pool at Centennial Sportsplex.

No experience needed.

Friday, August 28, 2026

1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Centennial Sportsplex

FREE

Ages 16+

Only 10 tickets available

This indoor kayaking class will teach participants:

  • Paddle safety
  • How to wear a life jacket
  • How to get in and out of a kayak
  • Basic paddling skills
  • Safe pool-based kayaking practice

Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets are provided.

Please bring:

  • Towel
  • Change of clothes
  • Clothes that can get wet

This program is made possible through a partnership with the Metro Parks Outdoor Recreation Department.

Important Notes:

  • Registered participants only
  • Everyone must register individually

This is a Community Drop-In Event

  • MPDP staff will organize and facilitate the class.
  • Staff are not responsible for chaperoning individual participants.
  • Participants who need one-on-one support must bring their own chaperone.
