Mozaico Flamenco presents Flamenco Dim Sum

Get ready for an amazing night of rhythm and passion as Mozaico Flamenco presents "Flamenco Dim Sum", celebrating the soulful, fiery art of Flamenco with colourful, multicultural surprises. We welcome guest guitarist Jake Lee "Chinito" from Victoria, well known for his unique jondo expression and powerful flamenco guitar, joining bailaora Kasandra "La China" and multitalented singer, dancer, cellist, "La Sirena"! Experience flamenco rhythm, soulful cante and fiery dance up close and personal in tablao stage setting remniscent of the caves of Granada. Whether you're a flamenco fan or just curious, this event promises an electric atmosphere to ignite your senses.

What can you expect? Colourful ruffles, fluttering fans, rapid-fire footwork and soulful music, “Flamenco Dim Sum” features some of Canada’s most accomplished flamenco artists . One of Mozaico Flamenco's signature sold-out shows since 2022, “Flamenco Dim Sum” promises an evening of intimate cuadro flamenco, expressing the light and shadows in our humanity and life. This show will showcase a new piece called "United Elements" choreographed by Kasandra for Vancouver Asian Heritage Month.

Flamenco originates from the sunny south of Spain, Andalucia, and is known for its rich, passionate multicultural roots -- Roma, Spanish, Andalucian, Moorish and Arabic. Well, Vancouver has quite the multicultural mix of our own! We take the Flamenco temper and mix it with authentic expressions of our Canadian artists of Chinese, Doukabour, Celtic backgrounds in “Flamenco Dim Sum”. Mozaico Flamenco performs a wide range of traditional flamenco dances celebrating life's sorrows and happiness, mixed with contemporary surprises.
