We will mow some grass and clean up some trash so that the neighborhood can use Bradley Playground safely. We are going to do our best to put some finishing touches on the old girl. LOCATION: Bradley Playground: 3656 Concord Ave, Detroit, MI 48207.
When we finish Bradley, we will move South on Concord ave to the shuttered elementary school that also has a playground and we will mow and clean up there.
If you have never been to Mower Gang, here is how it works.
1. We mow grass and clean up abandoned parks and playgrounds.
2. It is fun.
3. The people are really nice.
4. You don't really need anything to participate. Lots of people have spare equipment they will be happy to lend you.
5. It is very, very casual. We usually just show up and start working. There isn't really a lot of direction, nor management. Just come out, find some way you can make a difference and have a good time.
6. There will be food and beverages for volunteers (we run a fundraiser every year to cover this expense).
7. We are just dumb enough to mow rain or shine.
