Movies at the Mill - Mark Your 2026 Calendars!
January 12 at 6:30 PM - doors open at 6:00 PM
January 13 at 1:00 PM - doors open at 12:30 PM
Thanks to a generous donation from the Martin Guitar Foundation, we produced a series of 12 videos featuring historic locations in Hellertown.
On these two dates, the SAME six videos will be shown, as we are offering evening and daytime showings.
The six videos total about an hour, but we will pause between each video for a short introduction. The Tavern Room will remain open for about 2 hours to allow time for socializing.
We will be serving typical movie theater snacks (popcorn, candy, and drinks) while supplies last.
On the dates listed above, we will be showing in no particular order:
The Clock Tower: a compilation of video from the Clock Tower Dedication, Our Town video, and new footage featuring Jeanette Boos. The historical video includes the following Hellertown personalities: Leo Stern, Bud Prosser, Joe Delfoe, and Addie Frey.
Stern's Market: Leo Stern recalls his market and life, along with his grandchildren, Jason and Jeanette Stern, adding information.
IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows) Building: Bill Frey takes us on a journey through the history of this building. (Currently the Saucon Valley Dance Conservatory)
The Sauconia: Chris Severn shares his memories of working building.
The American Legion: another compilation of historic videos regarding WWII. Bill Frey makes an appearance, as well as Geoffrey Baer and Philip Doddy.
Boehm House: Vice President Dennis Scholl takes us on a tour of the history of the people of this historic home in Hellertown.
The second set of six videos will debut on January 19 at 6:30 PM and January 20 at 1:00 PM. More information on those videos to follow.
