Mission Blue follows oceanographer Sylvia Earle on a global journey to protect the world’s oceans. The film explores the critical role oceans play in sustaining life on Earth and the mounting threats they face from overfishing, pollution, and climate change. Central to the documentary is the concept of “Hope Spots,” vital marine areas identified for protection to help restore ocean health.
