Movie Nights at Moments Co-op: Dope is Death
About this Event
Nostalgic For Nothing Cinema is excited to present the next Movie Night at Moments Co-op, (USA 2020, 88 min) directed by Mia Donovan.
"Dope is Death is the story of how Dr. Mutulu Shakur, stepfather of Tupac Shakur, along with fellow Black Panthers and the Young Lords, combined community health with radical politics to create the first acupuncture detoxification program in America in 1973 - a visionary project eventually deemed too dangerous to exist in America."
After the movie night we will have an optional group discussion about the film. Moments books will be available to purchase after the screening.
