About this Event

Nostalgic For Nothing Cinema is excited to present the next Movie Night at Moments Co-op, featuring the short 30 min documentary "George Jackson/San Quentin". After the screening we will have a group discussion with the opportunity to read excerpts from George Jackson's books.

Digitized by Freedom Archives in 2014 "George Jackson/San Quentin", contains never-before-seen footage from San Quentin of George Jackson. It also includes footage of Angela Davis, then in the Marin County J*il, and the powerful comments of Georgia Jackson (George and Jonathan Jackson’s mother). This film is a powerful visual complement to other one-of-a-kind audio materials on George Jackson and the San Quentin Six.

We will have limited numbers of the book Soledad Brother by George Jackson and other books for Black August reading for sale!
