Synopsis: Since securing the acquittal of a repeat murderer, lawyer Jean Monier (Daniel Auteuil) has stopped taking on criminal cases. His encounter with Nicolas Milik (Grégory Gadebois), a family man accused of murdering his wife, deeply affects him and shakes his convictions. Convinced of his client's innocence, he is ready to do anything to win his trial, thus rediscovering his sense of purpose.
