Risen is a biblical historical drama told from a unique perspective—that of a Roman officer charged with disproving one of history’s most extraordinary claims. Starring Joseph Fiennes as Roman military tribune Clavius, the film explores faith, doubt, and transformation through the eyes of a hardened soldier.

After serving 25 years in the Roman army, Clavius is steadfast in his loyalty to Rome and committed to maintaining order in a volatile Jerusalem.
