"A BINDING TRUTH" transcends the boundaries of time to explore the deep connection between two former high school classmates. We have the honor of premiering this 90-minute film to the public before a shorter version is hosted by North Carolina PBS on October 1. Please check local listings.

In 1965, Jimmie became the first Black football star at an affluent Charlotte high school, thrust into one of North Carolina’s most volatile civil rights cases. De witnessed the events and wrote about them in a college essay. Decades later, a discovery in church records uncovers buried secrets, linking their lives to America’s broader story of slavery’s legacy, racial division, and the search for healing—their shared “binding truth.”
