📢 Dear creative community in Antwerp,
I'm Olga, I'm a dance artist, and I would like to invite you to join the series of my weekly open movement classes:
SATURDAY
5-6 PM
BorgerHub
(NO class on February 7!)
The classes are open to absolutely anyone, with and without prior experience in dance and other movement practices. It is important to bring an open mind and curiosity to create a shared space of exploration and ignition.
Each class starts with a soft somatic-based warm-up and continues into a guided improvisation session, where we move together continuously, traveling through different tasks, solo, in duos, trios, and all together as a whole. The tasks are rooted in contemporary dance techniques and instant composition practice. We work on various qualities of the movement.

Oh, and yes, the playlist for the classes is meticulously curated by me. So I guarantee the music selection is experimental enough to provoke creativity in movement.

Olga Uzikaeva (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist living and working between Serbia and Belgium, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in Dance at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp / De Singel International Arts Center.
Olga’s artistic practice places interdisciplinarity at its core. She frequently collaborates with artists from various fields, including music, theatre, and visual and digital art.
She has performed, taught workshops, and participated in artistic residencies across multiple locations in Europe.
In her current artistic research, Olga explores the themes of borders and belonging, inspired by her own experience of migration and the search for 'home.'
