✨CONTENT OF THE DAY✨
We’ve planned a super interesting day filled with interactive workshops.
🌋Divest to Resist (10.30-13.00)
A workshop by Fairfin exploring how financial institutions fund destructive mining projects, and how divestment can be a powerful tactic to resist them. We will learn strategies, analyze financial data, and discover tools to conduct our own research.
🌊Into the Depths (14.30-15.30)
An interactive session on deep sea mining, led by marine biologist Nene. Through collective discussion, participants will explore what this industry involves, and its environmental and social impacts..
🪩Catapistas Input Session S#ED (16.00-18.00)
A planning session for an upcoming workshop campaign against planned obsolescence. Participants are invited to give feedback on a draft version of the workshop and collaborate on how to make it effective in five cities across West Flanders.
🍲A vegan lunch will be provided.
🧃After the workshops, we can talk further over drinks.

🌋 Divest to Resist (10.30-13.00)
Een workshop, georganiseerd door Fairfin, over hoe financiële instellingen schadelijke mijnbouwprojecten financieren, en hoe desinvesteren (divestment) een krachtig actiemiddel kan zijn. Deelnemers leren strategieën, analyseren financiële data, en ontdekken tools om eigen onderzoek te doen.
🌊Into the Depths (14.30-15.30)
Een interactieve sessie over diepzeemijnbouw, geleid door marien biologe Nene. Samen wordt besproken wat deze industrie inhoudt, en wat de ecologische en sociale gevolgen zijn.
🪩Catapistas Input Sessie S#ED (16.00-18.00)
Een voorbereidende sessie rond een toekomstige workshop tegen geplande veroudering. Deelnemers worden uitgenodigd om feedback te geven op een eerste workshopontwerp, en mee te denken over hoe deze sessies in vijf Vlaamse steden vorm kunnen krijgen.
🍲Er wordt een vegan lunch voorzien.
🧃Na de workshops is er tijd voor een drankje.
