MOVE DEEP perches itself at the intersection of a traditional conscious dance and unfiltered inner journeys. MOVE DEEP offers you the opportunity to look inward to tap into your own power, and to find your own route. It is a journey in exploration of ourselves, the universe, and the musical world. By design, this will be a more raw experience than others, keeping the focus on your journey rather than dance culture, structure, or familiar expectations. Come join me to connect with yourself through love of music, dance, celebration, and embodied self expression!
COOL! WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC THEN?
So glad you asked! Expect highly energetic flavors of many tones! Just as life has an unending and steady way of keeping things novel and shifting, so does MOVE DEEP. Joyous, mystical, primal, natural, universal, bright, dark, gritty, and all in between and beyond can be found here. Expect to be surprised and delighted and encounter a bit of the unknown each time. Sound palettes will often include bass music, world and organic vibes, shakti vibes, psychedelia, house, trance, reggae, dub, and so much more...
OTHER DETAILS TO BEAR IN MIND
No shoes or alcohol
Be respectful to each other, your spatial awareness, and the beautiful space we are invited to dance in
No animals (I know, crazy I need to state this!)
You might want to bring a mat and/or soft things for warm up\wind down
Some volunteer spots are available in exchange for free entry. If cost is an issue, please talk with me about volunteering ahead of time!

ABOUT THE DJ:
Since grade school, Avira has been immersed in choir, dance, and the world of music. Her love affair with electronic music took root on the pulsing dance floors of underground raves, eventually leading her to the transformative world of ecstatic dance. With an eclectic and expansive taste, Avira crafts immersive sonic landscapes that invite dancers into a richly textured and deeply felt experience.
Driven by a passion for personal and collective healing, Avira curates her sets with an intuitive blend of celebration, soulfulness, and emotional depth. Her music has been described as a luscious blend of dynamic, whompy, vibrant, world, bass, and house music - designed to move not only the body but also the heart and spirit. Through conscious dance, she creates sacred spaces where movement becomes medicine, offering dancers a gateway to connection, release, and profound self-discovery.
