We'll discuss orchid groups that thrive in our climate, why mounting them on boards or rocks works, and how to care for orchids that aren't in pots. Learn which types of orchids, natives and others, can be kept this way.

Mount a baby orchid to take home. Join our discussion, watch a demonstration, then have a go with the plants and materials provided.

Warrnambool Annual Orchid Show - Saturday 3 & 4 October
A huge display of orchids grown in the local area held at Our Lady Help of Christians Hall, Selby Road. Thousands of plants will be displayed, and the best plants will be flagged by state level judges. Local experts will demonstrate key parts of orchid care. There will be plants for sale and growing accessories so if you do the workshop, you'll be ready to take some plants home with all the knowledge you need to get growing.

This workshop is suitable for anyone 12 or older. Maximum of 20 participants.
Cost is $25 covering costs with donation to garden activities. Wear old clothes and closed toed shoes.
