The Northeast’s biggest Winter Sports and Music festival is back at Montage Mountain on March 6th and 7th, 2026! Mountainfest takes over the slopes with 2 days of live music and cardboard chaos right here in Scranton, PA! Kicking the weekend off in a HUGE way, Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic returns to the runs bringing all the creativity and crashes you’ve come to love and expect followed by The World’s Largest 80’s Party featuring M80’s, a tribute to MTV rounding out an afternoon of big hair, bigger vibes, and nonstop fun! Saturday kicks off with our fan favorite pond skimming competition, then, (Drumroll please) headlining Mountainfest 2026, welcome multi-charting Billboard Top 10 superstars Sugar Ray to the stage with special guests…Wheatus! We’ll close out the show with our famous fireworks display out on the snow. CARDBOARD CLASSIC:
Preston & Steve’s Cardboard Classic is back in Scranton, PA for another cardboard crushing round of excitement on the slopes of Montage Mountain! Sleds will slide outside the main lodge on Friday, March 6th starting at 10am. Teams are encouraged to dig deep into their imaginations to craft cardboard into vehicles big, small, long, or tall! The Morning Show with Preston & Steve will broadcast live before the Classic and Preston & Steve will be on site emceeing as all the action unfolds! As always, spectators are welcome and free to attend. Following the cardboard chaos stick around as we crank up the volume with The World’s Largest 80’s Party featuring M80’s, a tribute to MTV playing all the radical hits you know and love! No ticket necessary, so get your friends, grab your leg warmers, and tease that hair to the heavens as we celebrate the radical 80s in style! Sled applications will open in January!
There’s a $1000 prize and other cool stuff up for grabs, so be sure to check out all the details and sign up your sled ASAP because spots are limited!
