Elevation Mastery: This course is set in a mountainous region where mastering elevation changes is paramount. Learn how to adjust for changes in air density, and conquer the steep angles that make mountain shooting a true test of precision.
Terrain Assessment: Analyze diverse landscapes, as you learn to read the terrain for optimal shooting positions. Our expert instructors will guide you in selecting positions that provide both stability and optimal lines of fire.
Wind Effects in Mountains: Gain in-depth knowledge of how wind patterns and turbulence are influenced by mountainous terrain. Understand how valleys, ridges, and peaks can create complex wind currents, and learn the strategies to effectively read and compensate for these variables.
Long-Range Engagements: Challenge your shooting skills with engagements at extended distances. Our course will cover the principles of ballistics, wind reading, and environmental factors specific to mountainous regions, allowing you to make precise shots at extended ranges.

Disclaimer:
1. This is NOT a beginners class. It is expected that you have attended a reputable PR1 course such a those taught by: Frank Galli, Modern Day Sniper, etc. There will be a Shot Process evaluation at the beginning of the course. Any student unable to group their rifle with 5rds, and demonstrate firearms handling proficiency (Clear, Perform a functions check, Load, Unload) will not be permitted in the course. If you cannot uphold this standard, please attend one of our PR1 courses.

Cameo Shooting and Education Complex, located in Palisade, Colorado, offers a unique setting for your Mountain Rifleman Course. While the complex is situated in a scenic and remote area, there are several local transportation options to help participants reach the facility and enjoy their time in the region:
Private Vehicle: Most participants choose to drive to the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex. Palisade is accessible by road, and participants can use their own vehicles or rental cars to reach the facility. The complex provides ample parking space for attendees.
Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT): If participants are arriving from out of town or out of state, the Grand Junction Regional Airport is the nearest airport, located approximately 18 miles (29 kilometers) from Palisade. Rental car services are available at the airport for easy transportation to the complex.
Local Transportation Services: Participants who prefer not to drive can make use of local transportation services in Palisade and the surrounding area. This includes taxi services, rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft (availability may vary), and local shuttle services that can take you to and from the complex.
Accommodation Shuttle Services: Some hotels and accommodations in Grand Junction may offer shuttle services for their guests. It’s advisable to inquire with your chosen lodging facility to see if they provide transportation to the Cameo Shooting and Education Complex.
It’s advisable for participants to plan their transportation arrangements in advance, especially if they are traveling from outside the region. The Cameo Shooting and Education Complex is a remote and picturesque location, and by utilizing the transportation options available, participants can fully enjoy their experience in the mountainous terrain of Palisade, Colorado, while attending the Mountain Precision Rifle Course.
***Tuition Exchanges: We understand life get’s in the way. Unfortunately, due to our planning and logistic costs, we do not offer refunds. If you need to reschedule, send us a message and we’ll work with you to transfer your tuition to a future course at a (50% transfer fee).
