Cotic Bikes have very kindly let us use their showroom as the venue for this Midlands MBO event. Not only does this give an easy to reach location, it offers a map area covering the versatile eastern corner of the Peak District with a bike showroom to peruse.
On the day and if you’re interested in one of Cotic’s bikes you can book a demo for after your MBO ride.
The map is expected to cover a corner of the Peaks south west of Sheffield, some bits covered in the last few years by Midlands MBO events. The area is truly versatile offering some technical mountain biking but still lots of riding friendly to gravel bikes, plenty of glorious bridleways to be had also a touch or urban riding is likely.
Cotic have an extensive range of off road bikes :- a rapid road/gravel bike, adventure gravel, 2 hardtail MTBs, 3 full suspension MTBs models and the newest edition an e-bike. This Midlands MBO event will be the last inter club shield event of the season.
If you don't have a map board we can provide you a basic one free of charge.
The event will be using SPORTident dibbers, if you have one please enter with its number and bring along. If not hire dibbers are free of charge.
The map is likely to be OS 1:50 000 , there will be blown up A3 maps available on the day if you have difficulty with eyesight, also enlarged description sheet if required. There will be some additions to help ridders challenged by eyesight when it comes to map and description reading. If printing is feasible there will even be the option of an A2 map, which can fit on your bars when folded in half. Expecting to use barrier tape on all controls to distinguish where it is.
