Mount Herman Ultra MTB Ride
About this Event
Mt. Herman Ultra MTB Ride (Unofficial Preview Ride)
Join us for the unofficial Mt. Herman Ultra 50K Mountain Bike Ride, a community ride designed to preview the proposed 2027 Mount Herman Ultra while bringing riders together for an unforgettable day on some of the best trails in the Front Range.
This approximately 31-mile route climbs historic Mt. Herman Road, loops around Mount Herman, descends past the beautiful Palmer Lake Reservoirs, and returns to Historic Downtown Monument along the scenic Santa Fe Regional Trail. Expect challenging climbs, fast descents, incredible mountain views, and a rewarding ride through the forests and foothills of Monument and Palmer Lake.
This is not a timed race and not an officially sanctioned event. Instead, it's an opportunity to ride with friends, meet new riding partners, explore the proposed course, and help shape what we hope will become an annual charity endurance event beginning in 2027.
Hosted by WAYFO (Work Hard. Have Fun. Help Others.), this preview ride also serves a greater purpose. While participation is free, voluntary donations are encouraged to support our local heroes through the Red, White & Blue Race Series, benefiting local firefighters, teachers, and law enforcement officers.
Your feedback on the course, logistics, aid station locations, and overall rider experience will directly influence the planning of the official Mount Herman Ultra. Whether you're an experienced endurance rider or simply looking for a great day on the trails, your participation helps us build a safer, more enjoyable event for the entire community.
Come ride with purpose, help us create something special for Monument and Palmer Lake, and be part of the beginning of what we hope becomes one of Colorado's premier community endurance events.
