Author Tom Perry will tell the story of Dr. Hege, Mount Airy's Deadly Dentist, who sent a letter bomb to K*ll his receptionist's new husband in 1936. This is covered in Perry's new book Little Chicago: Murder in Mount Airy and the Surrounding Area. This is a meeting of the Surry County Genealogical Association.The Surry County Genealogical Assn. will meet 12 Jan 2026 at the Mt. Airy Public Library at 6:00 PM and Tom Perry will speak on his book about The Deadly Dentist, who sent a letter bomb to K*ll his receptionist's new husband in 1936.
