Motion 2026 - VFX and Motion USW Industry Showcase

The exhibition features a diverse range of work produced across the students’ three years on the course that includes VFX, motion design, compositing, animation, virtual production, and more. It’s a chance to meet the artists behind the work, chat with students and industry professionals, and see the kind of projects being created at USW’s Cardiff Campus.

Alongside the exhibition, guests will also be able to explore our facilities, including the TV studios, green screen spaces, and virtual production suite. There’ll also be free food and drink available throughout the evening. 

The event takes place across Thursday and Friday 4th and 5th June at 5:00pm at USW's Cardiff Campus within our ground floor television studio.

The event will feature a showcase of student work, displayed through devices unique to each student. Graduate work will range from both VFX and motion design examples, including 2D/3D compositing, keying, cinematography and environment creation, right through to beautifully sculpted 2D and 3D motion design creations. You will be able to view the work from our graduates, speak to the students themselves, converse with other industry members, and connect with students both in-person and through online platforms presented with their work. Both staff and students of the course will be present at the event. For industry professionals, this is a great opportunity to speak with gradautes for potential employment opportunities, and to build connections.

USW's Cardiff campus allows both students and industry professionals to make use of the specialist filming studios and range of camera equipment, with direct access to book out the facilities and equipment for use at any time. We provide hands-on industry focused training to make sure students are studio ready, with state of the art industry level facilities and equipment. The Cardiff campus is home to our virtual production suite, green screen studio, multiple full-sized TV studios, performance capture suites, a full-size theatre and cinema, and much more.

If you are travelling via car, there is a large NCP car park directly outside the Cardiff Campus, providing easy access to the University. For train travel, the Cardiff Campus is situated next to Cardiff Queen Street station, and is only a few minutes away by foot.

Ochr yn ochr â'r arddangosfa, bydd gwesteion hefyd yn gallu archwilio ein cyfleusterau, gan gynnwys y stiwdios teledu, y mannau sgrin werdd, a'r ystafell gynhyrchu rithwir. Bydd bwyd a diod am ddim ar gael drwy gydol y noson hefyd.

Mae'r digwyddiad yn digwydd ddydd Iau a dydd Gwener 4ydd a 5ed Mehefin am 5:00pm yng Nghampws Caerdydd Prifysgol De Cymru o fewn ein stiwdio deledu ar y llawr gwaelod.

Bydd y digwyddiad yn cynnwys arddangosfa o waith myfyrwyr, wedi'i arddangos trwy ddyfeisiau sy'n unigryw i bob myfyriwr. Bydd gwaith graddedigion yn amrywio o enghreifftiau VFX a dylunio mudiant, gan gynnwys cyfansoddi 2D/3D, bysellu, sinematograffi a chreu amgylchedd, hyd at greadigaethau dylunio mudiant 2D a 3D wedi'u cerflunio'n hyfryd. Byddwch yn gallu gweld gwaith ein graddedigion, siarad â'r myfyrwyr eu hunain, sgwrsio ag aelodau eraill o'r diwydiant, a chysylltu â myfyrwyr yn bersonol a thrwy lwyfannau ar-lein y cyflwynir eu gwaith iddynt. Bydd staff a myfyrwyr y cwrs yn bresennol yn y digwyddiad. I weithwyr proffesiynol y diwydiant, mae hwn yn gyfle gwych i siarad â graddedigion am gyfleoedd cyflogaeth posibl, ac i feithrin cysylltiadau.
