Sylacauga Parks and Recreation invites families to celebrate Mother’s Day with a fun and creative Cookie Decorating Workshop on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:00 PM at the J. Craig Smith Community Center, located at 2 W. 8th Street.In partnership with Sally’s Sugar Cookies, this hands-on workshop will give participants the opportunity to design a one-of-a-kind cookie bouquet perfect for gifting to Mom. Each bouquet includes a “Happy Mother’s Day” pot cookie along with three flower-shaped cookies, creating a festive and edible arrangement. Cookies will come pre-iced with a base design, allowing participants to customize their creations using water-color icing paints.
Each bouquet is $40 and includes four cookies, making it perfect for sharing, but families of any size are welcome to join. Additional flower cookies may be purchased for $5 each to expand the bouquet or include everyone in the fun. All supplies are included, and the workshop will last no longer than one hour, making it an easy and enjoyable experience for all ages and skill levels.
Dads, grandparents, and family members are encouraged to bring children to create a surprise for Mom, though mothers are also welcome to attend and participate.
