Motherhood & Milk: September Meet Up

This month, we’re excited to take our meetup outdoors with a relaxed picnic at Heaton Park—weather permitting! Whether you’re a breastfeeding mum, formula feeding, or just looking to connect with other mums, this is a safe space to share experiences, chat about the joys and challenges of motherhood, and make new friends (or catch up with familiar faces).

Enjoy a warm brew, some light nibbles, and a cosy circle of mums where every journey is respected and celebrated. While we’re here to lend an ear and share experiences, we’re also happy to signpost additional breastfeeding support resources if needed.

• Friday 5 September
• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

• Heaton Park Picnic (if weather permits):We’ll meet just outside the Animal Centre near the Stables Café in Heaton Park. Look for us to the side of the café near the petting zoo area.
• In case of bad weather, the event will move indoors to: SparkLife (we’ll notify all attendees 24 hours in advance based on the weather forecast).

• Free Parking: Available near the Heaton Park tram stop, approximately a 10–15 minute walk to the Stables Café meeting point.
• Paid Parking: Closer parking is available near the Stables Café (approx. £2–£5). Pop “Stables Café Heaton Park” into your satnav for directions.

• A blanket to sit on
• Sun cream
• Water for you and your little one(s)

We’ll provide some light snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

• If the meetup is at Heaton Park, there’s no limit to the number of attendees.
• If we need to move to SparkLife due to bad weather, we’ll need to limit numbers—please book early to secure your spot.
• One free ticket covers one mum and one child/baby.

Motherhood & Milk is a community of mums running friendly, informal meetups to bring mums together. We are not professional breastfeeding counsellors but can help you access trusted support if needed.
