About this Event

Join Dave Brown, Moth Conservation Officer of the Warwickshire Branch of Butterfly Conservation and discover the marvellous moths drawn into the traps he set up over night. Moths are fascinating and mysterious and often very beautiful with over 2500 species recorded in the British Isles. When we have held this event in the past we have caught (and released) as many as 50 different species. This is a wonderful opportunity to find out about the wide range of fascinating moths we have locally, often with names as exciting as the moths themselves. Setaceous Hebrew Character, Burnished Brass, Maiden's Blush, Elephant Hawk-moth, Rustic Shoulder-knot, and Bright-line Brown-eye are just some of those found in the past.

The entry fee includes Includes a bacon bap or a croissant, cup of tea and a donation to Butterfly Conservation.
