MostNost is a jazz fusion band founded by guitarist Maor van Gelder. Expect progressive compositions, odd time signatures, virtuosic solos that will leave your head spinning, and grooves infectious enough to get everyone dancing.
Maor van Gelder – guitar & vocals
The band’s only member with military training. Ironically, his own convictions led him to leave Israel and settle in Prague, where he founded MostNost with musicians from the local scene.
David Šindelář– keys
A husband, new father, and employee of the Czech Radio. With free time now in short supply, he only plays the craziest gigs with musicians he truly believes in. Luckily, MostNost made the list.
Václav “Hugo” Pitule – drums
An unstoppable groove machine unfazed by odd polyrhythms or insane tempos. His musicality probably comes from being an excellent chef—after all, timing is everything in both cooking and drumming.
Adam Rajczy – bass
Is he hungarian or slovak? Even he isn’t quite sure. One thing he does know is that he loves mixing genres, cultures, cuisines, languages, and traditions. His passion for diversity makes him a perfect fit for MostNost.
Together, they create adventurous, energetic music that refuses to fit into a single box.
Laser Sights:
An international jazz collective founded in 2023 at Berklee College of Music by
the talented composer and drummer Mattia Muller. By fusing improvisation with vibrant
influences from electronic and experimental music, the group has rapidly built a reputation
through standout performances across Europe and the US. Their 2024 debut album, recorded in
Slovakia and finalized in the USA, features cutting-edge original compositions that highlight the
fresh voices of the world’s youngest generation of musicians. Laser Sights continues to push
musical boundaries, captivating both jazz aficionados and fans of diverse contemporary sounds.
The band has performed at iconic New York venues such as Nublu, one of the city’s most
recognized spaces for experimental jazz, fusion and contemporary music, and at Lincoln
Center featuring saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, widely regarded as one of the leading voices of
the new generation of jazz. The collective currently performs regularly in Brooklyn, where
Mattia Muller is based, collaborating with musicians from the city’s vibrant experimental indie
jazz rock and hip hop scene.
