Moses Lake Grant-Adams Master Gardener Training Meet & Greet Program
About this Event
You are cordially invited to an informal Meet and Greet session to explore the rewarding path to becoming a certified Master Gardener. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to share your passion for gardening, discuss your current horticultural interests, and envision your future goals within our community. NO PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Connect with active Master Gardeners to hear firsthand accounts of their personal journeys, and discover how this enriching program has deepened their knowledge and transformed their gardening experiences. Learn about how the Master Gardener program operates, hear about activities the group is involved with and get ready to sign up for new Master Gardener training which begins this fall. We look forward to welcoming you and growing together.
The WSU Extension Master Gardener Training for Grant and Adams Counties is for anyone who loves any aspect of home gardening whether that is growing lush indoor plants or using sustainable gardening practices outside to grow fruits, vegetables, or herbs or to landscape your yard.
A WSU Extension Master Gardener is a certified volunteer who uses researched based resources to learn and share that knowledge with new gardeners or those with gardening challenges in the Columbia Basin.
Qualifications for becoming a Master Gardener are to have a strong volunteer ethic, complete 120 hours of online training and at least 20 hours of in-person hands-on activities and field trips. Once the training hours are finished, at least 40 volunteer hours in approved activities must be completed within the next 12 months.
This course is only offered once every two years. The next class being offered begins in October of 2026. The application deadline is July 31, 2026. More details and an application form can be found at https://extension.wsu.edu/grant/become-a-master-gardener/
