Day one: Learn the concept of designing a mosaic, transfer images, and choose appropriate materials. This class includes learning how to use tile nippers, instructions on sealing substrates, and the importance of choosing the appropriate glue. The size of the mosaic will be 8” x 10”. Students will work for 3 hours with an optional 20 min break.
Day Two: Dress for a mess. Students will check mosaics to ensure all the tesserae is glued on appropriately prior to grouting. Students will choose grout color and learn how to mix the grout to appropriate consistency. Three hours allotted for grouting and finishing. All supplies are included in this workshop.
