Join us for a Mosaic Workshop at Sweat Bar & Bistro (inside Elevate Fitness Dewitt)! During this workshop your host, Ashe of Forged from Ashe Studios, will teach you the basics of making a mosaic! She'll go over the basics of breaking and shaping ceramic and glass tile and how to grout your piece. Then you'll use your new skills to make a mosaic heart! A variety of found materials and tiles will be available and a to add to the center.
Please note: there won't be any duplicate heart shapes so an exact duplicate the heart shaped center of the piece in the photo will not be available and everyone's piece will be completely one of a kind!
Black grout will be used for this project, as in the photo.
Hearts measure 10-12" at their widest and 6" tall. Stand not included.
Feel free to bring any quarter size baubles or trinkets, or even heart shapes you want to include in your project. This is just optional if there's something you have that you really want to include.
This event is for ages 12+.
You're welcome (and encouraged) to purchase food and beverages at Sweat and indulge during (or before/after) our class - they have a bar as well as non-alcoholic beverages, and some yummy eats - everything from healthy bowls to a "Big Ass Bowl of Fries"!
