Morristown Festival of Books + KidFest

The returns Saturday, October 11, 2025, with the free Main Festival and KidFest. More than 100 bestselling and award-winning authors will speak at five walkable venues along South Street in historic downtown Morristown. All Saturday events are free and open to the public, rain or shine.

The Morristown Festival of Books kicks off Friday, October 10, 2025, with a ticketed Keynote Event. Two-time Pulitzer Prize–winning historian Rick Atkinson will be one of the 2025 keynote speakers. Atkinson will discuss his #1 New York Times best seller, THE FATE OF THE DAY: The War for America, Fort Ticonderoga to Charleston, 1777-1780, bringing to life the sweeping story of the American Revolution from the very ground where key moments unfolded. His event takes place at 7:30 pm Friday, October 10, at Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown. Tickets go on sale at 12 pm on Monday, August 4, either online or by calling the MPAC box office at 973-539-8008.
