Morris County 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

The Morris County Board of County Commissioners invites you to the 25th Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Morris County 9/11 Memorial, 460 West Hanover Ave. in Parsippany-Troy Hills.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dennis Letts, a retired United States Secret Service executive and Tunnel to Towers Foundation Ambassador. He was exiting the North Tower of the World Trade Center when American Airlines Flight 11 struck the building, and immediately returned to help evacuate thousands of people, later assisting with the evacuation of civilians from Lower Manhattan. For his courage and leadership, he was awarded the United States Secret Service Medal of Valor.
The ceremony will feature a procession of first responders, candle lighting, musical tributes, and the reading of names of the 64 Morris County residents we lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
🪑 Bring lawn chairs — seating is limited.
🅿️ Parking & shuttle available from 340 West Hanover Ave., Morris Township.
The event will be held rain or shine.
