Morning Forest Retreat

Welcome to our Morning Yoga and Forest Therapy Retreat!

Unplug from distraction and join us for a restful and rejuvinating morning in one of Columbus's local Metro Parks: Highbanks. Among the morning light and towering trees, with streams cutting across deep ravines, this retreat offers an experience to mindfully connect back to body and nature and leave feeling nourished: mind, body and soul.

The morning starts with an hour of meditation and gentle yoga, lead by licensed therapist and yoga instructor, Maria Casa, LPC. Connect clinically-based therapeutic interventions with the natural healing energy of the forest as you engage with this yoga flow.

Enjoy organic, cold pressed organic juice and delicious protein bites from Native Cold Pressed while you take a moment to reflect or connect with others.

Then, head out onto the trail with licensed therapist and experienced forest therapy guide, Sarah Mediatore, LPCC-S, to engage in 'Forest Bathing', an immersive mindfulness experience. (Don't worry, it's not a literal bath!)

Get in touch with the present moment in a deep and meaningful way as you practice the art of 'noticing and sensing the forest' and recieve the benefits of decreasing stress hormones, increasing feelings of appreciation for beauty, regulating your nervous system, and even preventative health benefits like improving your immune system.
