About Kate...
Kate grew up in Oshawa, Ontario in an artistically-focussed home. Summer vacations always included trips to art galleries and museums. Family trips and baseball games were captured on a Brownie camera. She attended O’Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute as part of both the Visual Arts program and the Performing Arts Program.
During university, Kate began experimenting with disposable cameras, but her jump into film photography began when her father “lent” her his Olympus OM-2N in 2016. She
currently scans all her own film with the goal of learning to develop her film, so the entire process from exposure to print can be done by her.
Kate moved to Sault Ste. Marie in 2023. While her permanent address is here, she can often be found on the coast whether that’s Atlantic, Pacific, or Arctic.
