About this Event
Saturday, October 3rd at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, we're setting up, firing it up, and turning a tailgate into something that actually sends you home with more than a full plate.
Here's why we're out there.
The judges who decide bond, sentencing, probation, and who comes home — they get elected. Their names are on your ballot. And almost nobody can name a single one of them.
That's not an accident, and it's not your fault. Nobody hands out a guide to judicial races. So we made one, and we're bringing it to the tailgate.

🎟️ Free. No ticket needed to stop by, but registering helps us plan.
🅿️ Cramton Bowl is at 1022 Madison Ave, Montgomery. On event days, the lots around the stadium are usually reserved or paid, and passes often have to be purchased in advance online rather than at the gate, so check the event's official parking page before you head out.
Free backup options: street parking downtown and the public garage at 100 N Union Street, about a four-block walk, are both free on weekends.

Who this is for: Everybody. Students, alumni, families, first-time voters, folks who've been through the system and folks who haven't. Bring your people.
Down by Law is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit working on educating people about the court system judicial accountability, and civic education across Alabama. We don't endorse candidates and we don't tell anyone who to vote for. We just think you should know who's on your ballot.
