Beginning in 1986, MOORE BY FOUR quickly established themselves on the Twin Cities music scene with their breakout run at Ruby’s Cabaret, followed by regular appearances at the Dakota and other area clubs and concert halls. They’ve sung for dignitaries and sporting events - the Super Bowl, the Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves - and have performed at countless special events, benefits, corporate functions, colleges and universities and festivals in the U.S., Europe and Japan. The harmonies put forth by the four vocalists Ashley Commodore, Ginger Commodore, Connie Evingson and Dennis Spears invoke thoughts of Manhattan Transfer with their precise vocal control and polish, but the individuals’ grounding in gospel, jazz, pop and theatre provides a far broader range to the group’s musical offerings.
