MoonTree at the Allegheny Observatory

Riverview Park and the Alleghney Observatory are proud caretakers of a NASA MoonTree. This Sweetgum grew from a seed that was on the Artemis I spacecraft when if flew around the Moon.

Join us for science and art activities related to the MoonTree. The target audience is children in K-5 with their families.

If the weather is good, there will be activities on the lawn and tours of the observatory. If the weather is cold or wet, the activities will be inside.
