Ronnetta incorporates mindfulness-based and emotion-focused cues throughout her wellness classes to promote an eastern body, western mind experience. She encourages self-acceptance and connection with others, spirit, and the universe.
Angie Obrigkeit, RYT200 is an advanced reiki master, yogi, and energy healer with a love of meaningful connections and community. Healing practices with Angie emphasize flow and general well-being. Angie frequently offers sound healing and incorporates reiki into her classes to promote connection to spirit and alignment of the mind, heart, and body. An experience with Angie will leave you feeling balanced and grateful.
What to expect:
Once everyone is present, we will gather along the spring-fed pond where the owner of Jaybird Hammock Farm, Tina Jenkins, will welcome you and share a brief history and mission statement of the farm. Together we will then take a short mindful walk down a nature trail and into the pine forest (half-mile round trip). On the walk, some of the farm animals, goats, donkeys and a mule may come out to say hello. When we arrive in the pine forest, you will get cozy in a hammock with a warm blanket and relax to the sounds of crackling fire and pine trees gently swaying in the breeze.
When everyone is comfortable in their hammocks, Ronnetta, Angie, and Tina will be your guides on your continued journey. You will enjoy a peaceful hypnosis and harmonic sound healing experience. You may experience a range of emotions to include joy, sadness, peace, tranquility, or relief. Allow your emotions to flow and accept the release.
First, Naturalist and Biologist Tina Jenkins will lead you on an exploration of the diverse flora, fauna and ecological nuances of the surroundings. This immersive introduction aims to deepen your connection with nature, creating a more enriching and memorable mediation experience.
Next, Dr. Ronnetta Williams will guide you through a tranquil hypnosis meditation, setting the stage for introspection and emotional exploration. Hypnosis is considered a complementary alternative to medical treatment. It is a tool that uses the power of the mind to induce change and is characterized as a state of inner absorption, concentration, and focused attention. The term hypnosis comes from Greek mythology and the Greek word hypnos, which means to sleep. Hypnosis is named for the Greek god Hypnos, who was calm and gentle. His cave was a bed of ebony, and at the entrance grew poppies and other sleep-inducing plants. No light or noise penetrated the cave, allowing Hypnos to fall into a deep slumber. He used water from the river to induce forgetfulness. His wife, Pasithea, was the personification of relaxation, meditation, and hallucination. Their sons brought dreams to mortals. The purpose of hypnosis is to enable a person to have increased control over one’s own behaviors, thoughts, emotions, physiological responses, and even physical health. Hypnosis evokes a naturally occurring trance state that is induced by mental concentration. The trance-like state is a similar experience to daydreaming, losing yourself in a book or movie, or getting lost in thought while driving and missing your exit. Hypnosis may help with pain relief, healing from an injury, anxiety and stress management, habit control, and other concerns or conditions. Hypnosis is considered safe when used by trained professionals and rarely causes any adverse side effects. You may experience drowsiness when in a hypnotic state. ***This experience does not constitute a therapeutic relationship with Dr. Williams.***
Following the hypnosis meditative journey, Angie will play the singing bowls, the harmonic sounds will surround you, creating a sensory experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional mediation. The resonant tones, like a gentle breeze through the trees, will immerse you in a soothing auditory cocoon, enhancing your connection with the natural surroundings and deepening the overall sense of tranquility and relaxation during the session.
